-exciting science, perfect networking opportunity, great people, beautiful environment-

The RTG R3 presents the 1st Women in Aquatic Sciences Networking Event (WASNE). This special event will take place from 30th September to 1st October 2019 at the University Konstanz right beside beautiful Lake Constance - well-known as a model-system by freshwater scientists worldwide!

This innovative event addresses women researchers in aquatic sciences from PhD level to junior professor/ junior group leader. The whole spectrum of aquatic research is welcome to be presented from classical limnological studies to state-of-the-art methods and top-notch interdisciplinary aquatic research. Therefore, we are happy to present three exceptional keynote speakers who will give us insight into their recent research:

Prof. Carla Cáceres from the University of Illinois, USA

Dr. Kristy Deiner from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and the Natural History Museum London, GB

Dr. Felicity Jones from the Max-Planck-Institute in Tübingen, Germany

WASNE offers a platform for discussion and scientific exchange, brings early career woman researchers into contact with experienced scientists and aims to increase one’s own network. An exciting framework program will round off the event with a beneficial networking workshop for early career researchers, an exhibition on “Women in Limnology” and a stimulating conference dinner where scientific discussions can be continued in a relaxed atmosphere.
